Roughcut have established a branded content arm in the wake of a successful PlayStation video game campaign.
The division will be led by producer Bertie Peek, who joined the business in 2009, and will tap into the indie’s production expertise and network of acting, writing and directing talent to deliver effective branded videos.
The move was sparked by the success of its campaign for Playstation game, No Man’s Sky. The indie secured a commission from Fever PR to produce a 90-second video for the launch of the title in August.
Produced by Peek and featuring comedian Bill Bailey as the captain of a ship navigating the space exploration game, the video has been viewed 2.8m times across Facebook and YouTube – with 1m generated in the first 48 hours following its release.
