Ash Atalla is one of the UK’s best known comedy producers. Most famous for producing the hugely successful comedy series’ The Office and the IT Crowd. He founded Roughcut with Tim Sealey in 2007.

Tim has 20 years of experience in film and television. He founded Roughcut in 2007 with Ash, where he has worked closely on the company’s comedy, drama and entertainment development and production.

Alex is our new Head of Comedy. During his time at Roughcut he has exec produced five series of Trollied, while also running our Sky development deal. Alex is currently producing a mini-series for Sky Arts and a new 6 part series for Sky1.

Matt has been with Roughcut since 2013 working as a Development Producer and is now head of the non-scripted team. He has series produced both series of Delete, Delete, Delete, produced Churchill & Me with Hugh Dennis (Discovery Channel) and co-produced two series of Tyger Takes On (BBC 3)

Emma has over 17 years of experience in the TV and film industry. She joined Roughcut in 2010 as Production Executive to oversee our scripted output. Emma also produces Cuckoo for BBC 3 and is currently producing our new series Hospital People for BBC 1.

Seb is a scripted comedy producer, whose credits include BAFTA-nominated sketch show Cowards and single drama Hattie, starring Ruth Jones, BBC4’s highest-rating show of all time.
Joining Roughcut in 2009, Bertie has focused on developing projects with new comic talent. His work includes Top Coppers and Popcorn Comedy, a comedy night that showcases the best live comedy.
Becky joined Roughcut in 2010 and is now a Producer, as well as a central point of contact for Roughcut’s development slate.
Marina developed her passion for working with script when she originally trained as an actress. Before joining Roughcut she spent 4 years at VERTIGO FILMS. She is currently developing comedies & dramas, as well as working across the US/HBO & film slates.
Ben joined Roughcut in 2016 as an Assistant Producer and is now the non-scripted Development Producer. Previously he worked at BBC, UKTV, ITV and various indies, working in development and production.
Steve has been Ash Atalla’s assistant since February 2015. He is now part of the development team and recently assistant produced Chinese Burn for BBCThree.

Jemma has over 10 years experience in TV production. As a Production Manager, she works across our Entertainment, Documentary and Scripted Comedy departments.
