The pilot episode first premiered on BBC iPlayer in 2012, followed by five hit series and BAFTA TV and RTS awards for Best Scripted Comedy and their feature film People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan will be premiering in cinemas from 18 August 2021.

Kurupting the Industry: The People Just Do Nothing Story will feature interviews with Allan Mustafa (MC Grindah), Asim Chaudhry (Chabuddy G), Hugo Chegwin (DJ Beats), Steve Stamp (Steves), Dan Sylvester (Decoy), Lily Brazier (Miche), Ash Atalla (Executive Producer), Jon Petrie (Producer) and Jack Clough (Director). Alongside all this, People Just Do Nothing superfans Clara Amfo, Martin Freeman, Dizzee Rascal and Kurupt FM collaborator Craig David will also share their favourite memories and moments from the series and offer their insights into what has made the show such a success.

Ash Atalla, Executive Producer, says: “With the Big in Japan movie coming out it felt a good time to look back at our People Just Do Nothing story.  And who knows, next year maybe we’ll release a documentary about this documentary.”
